We Want You... Volunteers Wanted for "The Western"

The 65th Annual Western Intercollegiate Tournament hosted by San José State Spartan Men’s Golf is currently recruiting volunteers for its 2011 premier event at the nationally recognized Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, CA.

We are seeking volunteers spanning a three-day period, April 15-17, 2011. On Friday (day-one) the event kicks off with a College-Am Practice Round followed by the event proper on Saturday, April 16 (round 1& 2) and Sunday, April 17 (final round).

There are a variety of assignments where we’ll need volunteers: greeters, parking assistance, registration assistants, hole marshals, scorers, etc.

You need not have a background in golf to lend a hand at “The Western” but if you do have golf experience (or previous tournament experience) it would be helpful. We are looking for individuals who are customer service-oriented and who enjoy giving back through the sport.
