GREETINGS FROM SAN JOSÉ STATE UNIVERSITY
On behalf of San José State University Athletics and the Men’s Golf program, welcome to the 65th Annual Western Intercollegiate. Based on the caliber of teams slated to compete this year, it’s guaranteed to be an exceptional tournament.
We are very fortunate to host this championship at Pasatiempo – one of the most prestigious golf courses in the country. You can look forward to the many challenges Pasatiempo will offer, and the lasting memories they will create.
While at the Western Intercollegiate, please take time to absorb the beauty that this region of California has to offer. For those of us who are fortunate to call this area “home” we know what a very special place it can be, and we’re sure you’ll agree.
Best of luck to all the participants and I look forward to seeing you and your coaches in April at Pasatiempo Golf Club.
Sincerely,
John Kennaday

Rules of Conduct
"In golf, customs of etiquette and decorum are just as important as rules governing play." It is appropriate for spectators to applaud successful strokes, but in order to secure the spirit of the game, we ask spectators to please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Advice is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, the choice of a club or the method of making a stroke. In addition, any conversation between player/spectator may be construed as advice. This includes any conversation between player/spectator in their native language. In either instance, penalty for breach of this rule is two strokes. Players are responsible for the actions of relatives and spectators in regards to this rule.
- Keeping the above statement in mind, please keep your conversation with the player to words of encouragement
- Please turn off all cell phones.
- Spectators should stay on cart paths. In the absence of cart paths, we ask that spectators stay in the rough. Please stay off fairways, tees and greens.
Spectator Carts
Carts are available to those spectators with a handicap placard for a charge of $30 per rider. All carts must remain on the cart paths at all times.

Location
The driving range is located near the first green and is available for use by members and guests. Shuttle service is available from the first tee to the driving range.
Practice Facility
A professional practice facility — with large putting and chipping greens and multiple traps — is located next to the first tee. This facility will help you ready your putting, sand play, and chipping game.

SJSU Spartan Men’s Golf invites you and your guests to compete in The Western College-Am set for Fri. April 15, 2011 at the famed Pasatiempo Golf Club (Santa, Cruz, CA), a spectacular championship course that is commonly referred to in golf circles as MacKenzie’s Masterpiece.
This 18-hole team-format event will also serves as a Practice Round for collegiate golfers competing in the 54-hole Western Intercollegiate set for Sat. April 16 and Sun. April 17.
The Western College-Am attracts alums plus business and community leaders, all with the common desire to experience a tremendous course alongside talented collegiate players. (Each College-Am team will consist of three amateur players and two collegiate players.)
Entry fee for the College-Am is $400 per player which includes golf with cart, tee prize, awards banquet & dinner buffet. Proceeds from the event support collegiate golf programs and help offset “WI” tournament costs.
For individuals interested in supporting “The Western” while also increasing your company’s branding presence, we encourage you to look into how the WI sponsorship opportunities benefit collegiate golf, and communicate your company’s dedication to our community.
